Bush Regeneration Assistant - Brookvale

About the Role
Bushlink offers paid and training opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities working in bush regeneration and gardening services. Our Bush Regeneration Assistants work in small teams and are supported by experienced supervisors who provide training, structure, and guidance every step of the way. We help care for local bushland through activities like weeding, planting, mulching, raking and site maintenance. As a Bush Regeneration Assistant, you’ll work alongside volunteers as part of our Corporate Volunteering Experience days as well as with local schools where we engage with school children in hands-on gardening and bush regeneration activities.
Our Bushlink teams are based in Brookvale and work across the Northern Beaches area - making a real difference to the natural environment and the community.
This is a great opportunity for ambulant people living with mild to moderate disabilities, who would enjoy being outdoors, working with their hands, and being part of a supportive team.
We’re currently looking for three people to join us for a Friday shift, and we would love to hear from you, or someone you know, if you’re keen to become a member of our Bushlink team!
About You
A great fit for being a Bush Regeneration Assistant includes:
Having a NDIS work goal and access to NDIS funding for supported employment
Be comfortable wearing sun-safe work gear like a hat, sunscreen, boots, and Bushlink uniform clothes
The ability to work outdoors doing physical tasks from 9am to 3pm, with breaks during the day
The ability to work safely in a small team (3-4 supported workers and an experienced supervisor) and follow safety instructions
Travel to and from Brookvale for the Friday shift
