Inclusion & Sustainability Workshops
Workshops and awareness sessions that share our message of inclusion and sustainability with the broader community.
Bushlink offers workshops and awareness sessions that share our message of inclusion and sustainability with the broader community. These sessions can be delivered to businesses, community groups, or schools, with our team; including Bushlink employees with disability, speaking about the importance of inclusive employment and caring for the environment.
Workshops may cover topics such as:
Building an inclusive workplace culture
Practical sustainability tips (e.g. native gardening, waste reduction)
The powerful link between inclusion and environmental action
Our team has presented to networks of sustainability educators (such as NEST) and at local forums, inspiring others to take action. By hosting a Bushlink workshop at your workplace or sponsoring a community event, you show leadership in both social and environmental responsibility. It’s a meaningful opportunity for your team to learn from lived experience, engage in open dialogue, and leave empowered to champion inclusive and sustainable practices.
Workshops are flexible and tailored to your needs, from lunchtime seminars to hands-on volunteer day training. They also make a great addition to corporate volunteering activities or community days.

Our Stories
Adrian’s journey: from volunteer to voice of Bushlink
Adrian’s journey with Northside began shortly after finishing school in 2009, when he joined the organisation’s Transition-to-Work program. Like many young people navigating the path to employment, Adrian explored a range of roles, but none quite clicked. Then, in 2012, everything changed. He discovered Bushlink and with it, a perfect blend of purpose, people, and the great outdoors.
For Adrian, Bushlink offered more than just a job. It offered a place to belong. Working alongside a close-knit team, he found the variety, connection, and environment he had been searching for. No two days were ever the same. Instead of isolation or repetitive tasks, he found meaning in contributing to bush regeneration projects, learning new skills, and connecting with his community.
Adrian’s confidence has flourished through his involvement in Corporate Community Days and the Schools Inclusion Program. These initiatives have become some of his favourite parts of the job. Not only does Adrian enjoy being out in nature and working with his team, but he also plays a leading role in presenting Bushlink’s story to schools. Standing in front of classrooms, Adrian shares his experience and helps students understand the power of inclusion and the value of caring for Country. It’s a role that fills him with pride and inspires others in the process.
He starts each day with a coffee and a friendly chat with his teammates, setting the tone for the positive, productive work ahead. Wearing his Bushlink uniform, Adrian stands tall, knowing he is part of something truly meaningful.
One of his proudest moments came when he transitioned from a volunteer to a permanent staff member. His mum, Michelle, still remembers the day how Adrian stood a little taller, a quiet smile on his face. It was a moment of recognition, growth, and pride. Reaching his 10-year milestone was another incredible achievement, reflecting his dedication and the vital role he plays in the Bushlink team.
Now a seasoned and respected member of the crew, Adrian works independently and takes great ownership of his tasks. His story is proof that, with the right support and the right environment, individuals of all abilities can grow, thrive, and lead.
Adrian is more than just a Bushlink team member, he’s a role model, and a powerful ambassador for inclusion.
