Environmental Stewardship:
Bush Regeneration Projects

Bushlink improves local biodiversity while providing meaningful work opportunities in nature.

Bushlink’s core mission is restoring and caring for our natural bushland. Our professional teams (led by experienced supervisors and assisted by employees of all abilities) undertake gardening, landscaping, weeding, mulching, and native planting to rejuvenate parks, reserves, and community spaces. Each project leaves a lasting legacy in the form of healthier ecosystems and greener community spaces. Bushlink teams have worked regularly at sites like Orara reserve, Long Reef Headland and Aquatic Drive helping regenerate bushland and and protect threatened local flora and fauna.

These bush regeneration efforts directly support your company’s environmental commitments. By sponsoring or volunteering in a Bushlink project, you can help remove invasive weeds, plant native shrubs and trees, and restore habitats critical to Sydney’s unique flora and fauna. It’s a practical way to offset your environmental footprint and invest in the sustainability of our local region.

Bushlink’s services operate across Sydney’s Northern Beaches, North Sydney, Lower North Shore, and Lane Cove, in collaboration with local councils and nature reserves. By partnering with us, your contribution directly supports the very communities and environments where your business and employees are based.

Our Stories

Robbie’s Journey: From School Leaver to Bushlink Trailblazer

Robbie’s story with Northside Enterprises began nearly two decades ago, when he stepped out of Freshwater High and into a world full of possibility. Like many young adults with disabilities, Robbie explored various jobs through both open and supported employment by working in supermarkets, hospitality, and packaging, but despite his determination and willingness to try new things, none of those roles gave him the connection or purpose he was looking for.

Recognising this gap, Northside Enterprises partnered with Warringah Council, Roche, and Seaforth TAFE to create something new, a bush regeneration training program that would become the heart of Bushlink. Robbie was one of the first to put his hand up. Drawn to the idea of working outdoors, contributing to the community, and being part of a team, Robbie found his place, doing meaningful work in nature, not stuck indoors.

Since joining Bushlink, Robbie has flourished. He’s built a strong routine, developed valuable work and life skills, and formed genuine friendships. His confidence and life skills have continued to grow, and he’s become a valued and respected member of the Bushlink team and Northside community.

Robbie especially loves Bushlink’s Schools Inclusion Projects and Corporate Volunteering Experiences, two programs that allow him to connect with people, share his story, and lead by example. On school days, Robbie lights up as he works side-by-side with students, showing them, how inclusive teams can thrive and what it means to care for the environment. He takes great pride in helping young people understand the power of inclusion and teamwork.

Equally, the Corporate Community Days give Robbie a chance to shine. Equally, the Corporate Volunteering experience give Robbie a chance to shine. Meeting professionals from a range of industries, teaching them about all things bush regeneration, whilst sharing a laugh, and creating a connection, which is a space Robbie thrives in

For his mum, Glenys, watching Robbie grow through Bushlink has been a constant source of pride. She knows he’s not just working he’s contributing, learning, and doing something he genuinely enjoys, with people who believe in him.

Robbie's journey shows what’s possible when people are given the right opportunities, support, and a place to belong. And As Bushlink continues to grow so too do the opportunities for Robbie and his teammates to keep learning, contributing, and thriving.

Whether you're a school, a business, or a community group, we’d love to welcome you into the Bushlink experience. Join us for a Corporate Community Day, book an Inclusion Workshop, or explore partnership opportunities that make a real difference in the environment, inclusion, and future.
